Initial EFL Trophy Final Protest Details For Wembley Stadium

Against League 3 is in the middle of planning a protest outside Wembley Stadium for the final of the EFL Trophy which takes place on Sunday 2nd April.

Despite the elimination of all B-Teams from the competition, campaign supporters have directed us to continue the boycott for the final, and we continue to ask fans not to attend, even for supporters of teams in the final. With the size of the teams involved in the final, a full blanket boycott is simply not realistic and there will be at least a fair attendance for this fixture. However we pledge to continue our work to encourage real change in the Football League and increase visibility of this shambolic trophy.

The EFL Trophy will be discussed at the end-of-season Football League AGM in Portugal, and the clubs involved have a chance to revert the Trophy back to last seasons format, or implement new reform. We implore the Football League and it’s clubs to reform this competition and consider the views of supporters.

Any planned protest will be PEACEFUL and NON-CONFRONTATIONAL. We are aiming at The EFL, not the fans who do decide to attend. We continue to urge supporters to come together and be united, not divided.

If you are interested in helping with organisation please email fans@againstleague3.co.uk at the earliest opportunity.
